Cosmetic Shopping in Indonesia

Halo semua, aku tau ini blog udah lama banget ga kepake dan sekalinya kepake ini cuma bakal berisi curhat yang mungkin ga enak dipandang.

Oke, ada beberapa hal yang jujur saja agak bikin sebel sama yg namanya belanja kosmetik di counter di Indonesia yang aku sendiri alami. Dan berikut listnya~

1. one of korean cosmetic
aku ngga tau ini kesalahan dari aku yang emang agak kudet atau mataku agak siwer yaa.. jadi aku ke counter produk ini, dan liat2 lipgloss bening di counter ini. setauku (dari liat2 di internet tentu saja) warnanya tu biru bening. jadi aku nyari samplenya buat mutusin iya nggak ya beli, takutnya terlalu sticky atau gimana. And u know what, samplenya was finally found dan warnanya abu2 keruh. Itu udah expired atau keseringan dipake di banyak orang atau gimana ya? kok ngga diganti juga gitu...

2. one of west brand
jadi, brand ini mengeluarkan beberapa varian eye pallete yang menggiurkan untuk mata n dompetku (maklum masih mahasiswa) dan warnanya cocok untuk dipake sehari hari (kuliah maksudnya). Jadi, aku pergi ke counternya dengan maksud beli eye pallete itu dan liat2 shade concealer + lip cream siapa tau ada yang cocok. Waktu itu pergi dgn temanku yang kebetulan agak tertarik sama product mereka. Dan sesampainya disana, ketemu 1 rombongan customer (ibu2 rempong dgn dandanan khas OKB / orang kaya baru atau mungkin mereka gak pernah ke mall terus dandan abis2an yang sayangnya amat sangat berbalik kondisi dgn volume suara dan kelakuannya). Ibu-ibu tersebut mencoba lipstick disana. Hei, nyoba lipstick itu wajar loh, wajar banget, kamu kan perlu tau shadenya cocok nggak dengan muka n bibir kamu. Tapi ini.. well.. left me speechless. Lipstick itu dipake penuh2 ke bibir just like you use your own lipstick. OMG... okelaahhh katanya sih ini kejadian yang udah biasa banget di Indonesia, tapi baru kali itu aku ngliat langsung dan rasanya gatel banget ni mulut buat ngasih tau itu ibu-ibu bahwa lip products harusnya gak langsung ke bibir gitu kan. Sumpah, kaget n jijik banget. And yes, aku sama temenku nungguin sampe ibu-ibu itu pergi dan kita bener2 nggak nyentuh sama sekali lip products yang ibu-ibu tadi pake. Setelah masuk ke foodtech, entah kenapa sensitivitas pada higienitas dan semacamnya jadi meningkat drastis and I couldn't stop imagine berapa banyak kuman dari 1 bibir dan lip products itu entah dipakai berapa orang.

3. my skincare
salahkan globalisasi dimana sekarang kamu bisa beli apa aja dari belahan dunia manapun dan bisa sampai dengan cepat ke kamu. Aku termasuk salah satu yang menjadi korban, dan brand tempat biasa aku beli skincare (satu2nya skincare yang cocok di aku) nggak ada di Indonesia. Jalan beli tinggal impor atau beli di olshop. Untuk impor.. well.. susah.. dan sekarang sama sekali nggak bisa. Terakhir beli itu aku dipanggil ke kantor bea cukai yang menyatakan bahwa barang yg aku beli dikembalikan ke pengirim krn aku ga ada hak jual brand itu di Indo. WHAT??!! Aku sampe sumpah2 ngga jual itu barang (no way ya, I need it. why would I sell it?) dan tetep aja ngga bisa. Meennn... I envy all those online shops who can buy all they want~ Yep, sekarang satu2nya jalan cuma beli di olshop

LIOELE SECRET PORE RICH BALM

Hello again~

Let me tell my daily first~
As a food tech student, I'm so busy ><" really busy that I always spend my weekdays in class and labs, then weekend with my laptop, doing some works that feel like would never end..
Omo.. really.. I'm still 20 y.o.. and I don't get socialize ><"

I'm the one that can't go out without makeup (especially when I go all day).. I know it feels like I'm not confident in my self, but believe me, you don't want to see my bare face. That's why.. I told one of nice blogger in my country, and she recommended me to try a product by Lioele, which is..

Ok, get to review ^^
The case is quite bulky.. made from glass (maybe, because it's kinda heavy), sturdy, and.. small..
Like, seriously, it only contains 20 grams.. and I thought because the price is high ($39), it would contain much product..
But.. as I use it, little goes long way~ because it's a balm, so you don't need to apply much on your face..
When applied, your skin will be silky and it really covers pores on my face. But downside of this product is the smell. If you don't like smelly products, you may avoid this one. Its smell is like baby's parfume, but people may not like it, right?

As a primer, I would say this is the best so far. Because my cosmetics stay on my face for at least 8 hours a day, without touch ups. Seriously without touch ups. But it may be different on other's case.
Also it doesn't make my face looks cakey. So, you have to give it a try ^^
As for me, I think I won't be changing primers for now. Stay with this baby.. hahaha..

SULWHASOO FIRMING CREAM

Hello ^^

This time I would review a product based on my mom's experience..
My mom's age is 50 years old. So, she needs something that will keep her skin firm (if you know what I mean..)

She has tried so many products, but her skin only reacts nicely to Asian skincare. She actually used Kanebo skin cares, but she said that they get more expensive that she couldn't buy anymore. She also tried The Body Shop products which are cheaper, but they burnt her skin. Well, I don't know why because her daughter (me.. haha ^^) loves The Body Shop products so much. They don't burn my skin and won't give breakouts to my skin.

So, I suggested Sulwhasoo skincare for her.

The price is actually cheaper if you buy sample size ones. They are truly cheap (10 x 5 ml = US$17) while the actual size ones can cost 3-4 times more expensive than the sample size ones with same amount.

It comes in plastic tubes, each 5 ml. It has thick consistency, like any other cream with some medicine scent (maybe like herb or something like that..). That's why I would recommend this for those of you with DRY SKIN. And don't worry about allergic effect, because Sulwhasoo products only use natural herbs.

My mom loves this product so much, by the way.. Because with routine usage, her skin looks flawless and firmer than before. Even her friends said that she must be doing so many expensive facial treatment because her skin just looks so healthy and firm. So, they were actually surprised when she told them "I only use Sulwhasoo products, nothing else, thanks to my daughter. She knows cosmetics and skincares better than me now"
(well, sorry.. I was very proud when she said that to her friends ^^v)

So here's the conclusion..

-good for dry skin
-routine usage gives very good result
-cheap when you buy sample size ones

-won't be good for oily skin
-actual size is very expensive

For those of you who wants to try anti aging products for dry skin, I strongly recommend this one ^^

SU:M 37 AMAZING PEELING SMOOTHER REVIEW

Hello ^^

Ah.. this holiday.. so many interesting food, fatter stomach and happy feeling came this Christmas..
So... I decided to make some reviews and for now it's one of SU:M 37 product

I honestly love SU:M 37 products ^^ Although I'm still 20 years old, but this works good on my skin. I really recommend this to you all..

So, this holiday I tried this one ^^
Honestly I don't have any problem with smoothness on my skin, but.. well.. I got it for free, so it would be a waste if I don't use it right?

I used it 4 times, depends on the face, you know~ My face is kinda small, so I can use it until 4 times..

It has light lotion texture, with white-brown colour. And the result wow me !!! ^^~
Seriously, it smooths my skin in just 4 times of usage. I definitely love this and would like to buy if I have money, hahaha..
Some people told me this is  kinda expensieve so maybe for some students, this is not affordable..
I honestly don't know the exact price, because I got this for free and I was kinda lazy to ask to some sellers because they always think I will buy..

And.. as usual.. I don't know what else I should tell..
so just ask me if you wanna know more.. thanks ^^

L'OCCITANE PURE SHEA BUTTER

Hello again ^^

Hm,.. well.. I have oily skin on my face but very dry skin on my legs and hands..
So since I'm pleased with L'occitane shea butter products, I bought this with cheaper price from my friend, since she bought but never used this.

Trust me when I said it doesn't have good scent. Well I never smell shea butter so I gues this is the scent of it.
It comes in a jar, just like frozen butter. it's very creamy, like a balm. So sometimes you need your nails if you want to get more than usual.
The function is to moisturize dry skin, even lips, similar with Oriflame tender care. But I prefer this than Oriflame's one. I applied it on my legs' spots which are very dry. And I don't think I need to tell the result because I always say this about L'occitane Shea Butter products... It WORKS VERY WELL.
Seriously.. I'm addicted...

L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER LIPBALM

Hello ^^

Remember one of my wishlist? It got true yesterday as my friend bought it for me ^^

The colour is white, like cream.. It has same scent with the hand cream. But the colour changes into transparent when applied on lips. When you open it, you can see that the content is somehow taller than the container. It costs $13 in my country, Indonesia. So I think it's kinda expensive for student like me.

But, when you use this, you'll remember this quote "quality comes with price" hahaha..
It WORKS on my dry lips just like ELF Studio Lipbalm (just overnight).
I honestly didn't know what to do since my Elf lipbalm run out. My friends were started to worry about my dry and chapped lips, because somehow blood went out of my lips more often.
Then one of them bought this for me (well, using my money of course) and tadaaa~~ I'm VERY PLEASED with the result. As expected from L'occitane shea butter products.

Seriously, L'occitane, please open a branch store in my town so that I can easily buy your products. Since you made me addicted to your products, hahaha..

SECRET KEY - SNAIL GEL CREAM

Hello again ^^

First, I want to say sorry that my posts are always short. But you still can ask me questions by email or line if you're interested with products I reviewed :)

Today I'm gonna tell you about moisturizer, which my friends said good for oily skin.

It has gel - watery texture, with transparent colour (just like Nature Rep Aloe Vera Soothing Gel). The scent is not good, just like medicine but well.. I don't know how to describe it, sorry ><"
Bad side of it is it leaves sticky feeling on my skin. 

For me, it is good moisturizer for my combination skin, it moisturized my dry skin (U zone) and didn't make my skin more oily (T zone). But, I had some breakouts when I tried for first time. Fortunately, they were small ones, and easily went away after I put night cream from the clinic :)
As for now, no more breakouts and I will continue use this. Btw, it will be better if you also use the STE before using this one

It contains 50 grams of gel (very much isn't it?) with thick plastic jar and a lid on it. Well, I like the packaging, cause if it falls, it won't break :)
The price is very cheap, I bought it USD 7,1 in qoo10 with free shipping from Korea. Maybe you can get cheaper if there are other sellers give discounts.
